Gillian is an Associate in our Singapore office. She has represented and advised clients in high-value and complex disputes spanning various industries, including energy (oil & gas and renewables), infrastructure, construction, joint venture, private equity and telecommunications.

Prior to joining the firm, Gillian practised in the disputes team of a top-tier Singapore law firm where she worked with some of the nation’s top Senior Counsel.

Gillian has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is proficient in English and Mandarin.

  Representative cases (including before joining the firm):

  • LNG Price Review Dispute: Representing a US oil major in an LNG price review ICC arbitration against an Asian energy company.

  • Shareholder dispute: Representing an investor in a USD 50 million SIAC arbitration against a company which is majority owned by one of the world’s largest private equity firms.

  • Trade dispute: Representing the buyer in an LCIA arbitration involving an LPG cargo dispute arising from counter-tariffs introduced by China in response to President Trump’s Liberation Day tariffs.

  • Oil & Gas: Representing a state-owned energy company in a USD 400 million ICC arbitration regarding the supply of gas from Russia to Europe.

  • Commodity dispute: Currently representing a leading Indian conglomerate in an ICC arbitration in a dispute over coal shipment deliveries.

  • Oil & Gas: Advised a major British multinational oil and gas company on complex payment disputes arising under an LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement involving LNG cargo shipments.

  • Stadium dispute against a litigation funded party: Represented the subsidiary of a global top 10 international contractor in a SIAC arbitration arising out of an iconic stadium project involving complex issues of delay/disruption and quantum.

  • Singapore’s largest integrated heavy-vehicle aftersales centre: Represented an industrial vehicle company in proceedings before the Singapore Court and in an SIAC arbitration arising out of a project to construct Singapore’s largest integrated multi-story heavy vehicle aftersales centre, in relation to significant delays to completion and defects.

  • Taiwan power plant: Represented a multinational conglomerate in a US$300 million ICC arbitration seated in Singapore, in relation to disputes over time and cost claims arising out of a power plant project in Taiwan.

  • Solar farms: Conducted red flag and key risk review of several solar contracts and advised the Developer of one of the largest solar farms in Singapore on strengthening its contract provisions.

  • Energy & Infrastructure: Advised a European company leader in Energy & Infrastructure on its Employment Agreement.

  • Telecommunications: Advised a major telecommunications company on strengthening the contract provisions of its Services Agreement.

  • Hotels: Advised a five-star hotel on a review of its Tender Agreement for a Façade Rectification Project.

  • Luxury automotives: Advised a luxury automotive firm on a review of its Letter of Award and Design & Build Contract for the renovation of its world-class showroom.
