New SIAC Arbitration Rules Applicable from 1 January 2025

The 7th edition of the arbitration rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) will come into force on 1 January 2025 (2025 SIAC Rules). The new rules build on the success of previous iterations while incorporating new innovations following an extensive multi-year consultation process. This includes a new first of its kind procedure (which was not in the draft rules) in which a party can seek ex parte interim relief, albeit only for a short period of time.
